| Hey, we were seated first, served last! What gives? Last night, Valentine's Day, my girlfriend and I had dinner at Za. It was the best meal and dinner experience I have ever had. I consider myself to have a somewhat sophisticated palette and I have eaten at many of the well-reviewed restaurants in NYC and this area. The food at Za was simply amazing. At first we were a bit upset because people who were seated after us were served before us (and we were starving). However, our appetizer easily made up for that. We had the scallops and the gnocchi- incredible. Our entrees and dessert were just as great. Eating as Za was more than just a meal, it was an experience. I left the restaurant feeling so good and content. I think many restaurants try to make it a whole good experience, but Za is the only place that has ever done this for me. Chef Mark says when we're busy he sometimes cooks the same dishes on different orders as the same time. It saves time. Every dish at Za is made fresh, from fresh ingredients when ordered. |
